As our team begins assembling the new fleet of Jason Mitchell Thermal houses, the excitement for a brand new season is on our minds. With the election, and virus news dominating the airwaves right now, we are all very excited to hit the ice and do what we do best…finding fish and teaching our guests how to catch them. There is no better feeling than having a true jumbo perch stop you from reeling or having a walleye take out drag. Good for the mind and good for the soul!
Currently, the northern lakes are froze over with 2 to 5 inches of ice but the main lake is still open water. We need this weather to get cold and stay cold and everything will lock up. Just a matter of time.
We had an outstanding summer of walleye fishing and the numbers of walleye that are in this fishery is incredible. We do not target perch in the summer, but we anticipate another good winter of perch fishing. And for the northern pike enthusiast, they are more than plenty to break your line and steal your bait!
